At Step By Step Educational Center, we know that every family wants to feel confident about how their child spends those important hours after school. Our Afterschool Program is thoughtfully structured to balance learning, play, and relaxation—ensuring your child is happy, engaged, and supported until you arrive.
Each day begins with a warm welcome as our staff greet your child upon arrival or school pickup. After settling in, children enjoy a nutritious snack and time to connect with friends, helping them recharge from the busy school day. Our dedicated homework time provides a quiet environment and caring guidance, so children can complete assignments and build strong study habits without stress.
When homework is done, the real fun begins! Our enrichment activities rotate daily and may include creative arts and crafts, hands-on science experiments, music, movement, or team-building games. We believe in giving children choices—so every afternoon, they can explore new interests and develop their unique talents. Outdoor play and group activities round out the day, giving kids plenty of time to be active, make friends, and just be kids.
Here’s a Sample of Our Afterschool Schedule:

3:00pm: School Pickup & Arrival – Friendly staff welcome your child to a safe, supervised environment

3:15pm: Healthy Snack & Social Time – Nutritious snacks and free time to unwind with friends

3:30pm: Homework Help & Quiet Reading – Individual or group support to complete assignments and build study skills

4:00pm: Enrichment Activities – Rotating clubs and creative projects such as art, science, STEM, music, or drama

4:45pm: Outdoor Play & Group Games – Fresh air, active fun, and teamwork on our playground

5:30pm – 6:00pm: Parent Pickup – Relaxed play, story time, or indoor activities until you arrive
